I've been trying to get this infographic about self-sabotage posted here for about 5 weeks.
Honestly, part of the delay was classic self-sabotage. I kept second-guessing myself: 'Is this the right time? Will anyone actually care?'
Every time I went to click 'post,' that little voice in my head would say, 'Are people really going to relate to this?' Even though I help others overcome mental blocks, I still face my own. Self-sabotage isn’t something you conquer completely; it's something you learn to manage.
Then I realized: If I let this self-sabotage hold me back, I'd be letting down the very people I want to help. Self-sabotage can be sneaky, even when you recognize it.
The fear is still there, but I'm pushing through it.
Here’s what helped me finally post:
→ I reminded myself why this matters: Someone out there might need this today. → I decided that 'done is better than perfect.' → I leaned into my empathy—if this helps even one person, it's worth it.
Self-sabotage often disguises itself as 'reasonable' doubts. But the best way to beat it is to keep showing up, even when it's uncomfortable.
If self-sabotage is holding you back from sharing something that could help others, remember: Vulnerability is relatable, authenticity is magnetic, and persistence pays off.
This infographic covers 11 types of self-sabotage we empathic high-achievers face. Which one resonates with you? Let me know in the comments.
