The Health Law Panel last night was a success thanks to the seven panelists from a variety of Health Law practices in the Memphis area.

It was a wonderful opportunity, made possible by the support of the Memphis Bar Association, to learn and network with attorneys from around Tennessee!

Health Law Section Mix & Mingle – Tuesday, May 15th @ 5:30 p.m.

Please join the MBA Health Law Section at Alchemy (940 Cooper St, Memphis, TN 38104) on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the Section’s annual Happy Hour. Section members, students in the U of M Health Law Society, and anyone interested in learning more about the health law section are invited to come for drinks and appetizers.

This year in conjunction with the Spring Happy Hour, the Section will be hosting a donation drive to benefit the St. Mary’s Catholic Church “Clothes Closet”, which is a clothing event that allows the Memphis homeless population to shop for clothing and undergarments free of charge. Please make plans to attend the Spring Happy Hour and bring an item or two from the list below! There will be a box set up to collect the items.

The requested items are as follows:
Men’s socks (all sizes)
Men’s underwear (all sizes)
Men’s t-shirts (all sizes)
Any type of toiletry item

Memphis Area Legal Services has partnered with health care providers throughout the community to create this unique program. It offers members and other law students a incredible opportunity to give back to the community while fostering legal skills. Members are encouraged to become involved.

Memphis Area Legal Services Inc. is partnering with University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Rhodes College, University of Memphis, West Cancer Center, and City of Memphis to host the Wellness & Stress Clinic. This Clinic will serve as integrated approach to improving the mental, spiritual, and physical health of our community!

Attorney volunteers are needed to provide legal advice to patients who may have legal problems that are impacting their health.

If you are interested in volunteering, sign up through the link below! The FIRST clinic will take place Monday, April 23rd at 5:00p at The Healing Center Full Gospel Baptist Church!
