Need care during the holiday? Rehoboth and Millsboro Walk-In Care Centers will be open with shortened hours on Thanksgiving Day. Georgetown, Milton, and Millville will be closed.

Today we're celebrating 1,462 days without a CLABSI (central line-associated bloodstream infection) in our ICU! This is an incredible accomplishment by this team during the last FOUR years, including many stressful months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These infections occur when bacteria or other germs enter the patient's central venous catheter and then enter their bloodstream. They are serious, but can often be successfully treated. However, ICU patients are our most vulnerable patients and can have additional complications months after discharge. The focus on quality and safety by Team Beebe is saving lives and helping loved ones return to their families. Congrats to this team!

We're excited to have orthopaedic surgeon Michal Klek, MD join . He specializes in hip and knee care, offering total, partial, and revision joint replacement procedures. Dr. Klek performs procedures at Beebe and practices independently in the community at Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates. He sees patients in offices located in Lewes, Millsboro, and Seaford. Today is an important day, but it can bring a lot of stress. Help manage Election Day anxiety with these tips from the Mental Health Association in Delaware.

Tomorrow is Election Day. It is normal to feel a wide-range of emotions right now, but in the midst of all this it is also important to remember to practice self-care and self-compassion. Stay informed and up-to-date, all while also making sure to take breaks from scrolling social media and reading the news. Instead, talk to someone you trust, such as a close friend, family member or therapist. Work on a puzzle, meditate, paint a picture and/or take a nice walk outside.

And don't forget to go out and VOTE.
