Procedures used to alleviate pain include selective nerve root and epidural nerve blocks; facet, sacroiliac and peripheral joint injections; spinal cord stimulators; manipulation under anesthesia; and radiofrequency neurotomy. Properly diagnosing the origin or cause of the pain is paramount. The process for identifying the source of the problem may include X-rays, CT scans, or a MRI. When treating spine-related pain, tests such as discography, bone scans, nerve conduction studies and myelography may be conducted. DISC utilizes a network of complimentary professionals to enhance the treatment received and maximize post-procedure function.
