On the occasion of the Holy Mother’s 169th Jayanti I am uploading this tribute which has been composed by late Shri. Pandit Vasant Kanakapur. Background music has been orchestrated by Pandit Vadiraj Nimbargi, Sitar played by Noor, melodiously sung by Smt Mathura Dixit, accompanied by the exceptional Flute Sisters - Suchismita and Debopriya. Tabla accompaniment is by Shri Gururaj Acharya. Studio recording and arranging is beautifully done by Shri Deepak Shah, Shruti studios, Mumbai. Lyrics by Dr. Shailaja Amur, humble devotee of Maa Sharada.
The song ‘Chandirana Mandirada’ is a tribute to the Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, her beauty, the aura she continues to create and the comfort and security sought by her devotees.
The song compares her radiant compassion to the ethereal brilliance of a temple enshrining the moon itself, and goes on to say her sweet generosity is delightful like the fragrance of Champaka flowers.
