Our Wellness and Support Team has announced the start date for the new Maternal Aotearoa Mindfulness and Awareness Course: 15th August!

This 6-week course runs every Thursday on Zoom from 11am to 1pm and can help you:

✨ Build nurturing, secure attachments with your children
✨ Improve communication and relationships with your partner and extended family
✨ Enhance self-awareness: physically, emotionally, and behaviorally

It's flu season 🤧, and with temperatures dropping, the risk of catching the flu virus rises, especially in closed spaces 👀.

Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting your flu vaccine!

It is FREE for people meeting the following criteria:
✅Children aged 6 months - 12 years, inclusive (enrolled patients)
✅Māori/Pasifika aged 55 years and over (enrolled patients)
✅People aged 65 years and over
✅People who have a long-term medical condition like diabetes, asthma, or a heart condition (ages 6 months and older)
✅Pregnant people
✅People with mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder
✅People who are currently accessing secondary or tertiary mental health and addiction services.

Last week, our Wellness Support Team, alongside our Community Manager Li'amanaia Lorenzo Kaisara, took part in the Matua Expo at the Te Puke ō Tara Community Centre, Ōtara 🙌

The event gathers service providers and their offerings for seniors in the community, and we're proud that through our Local Doctors and White Cross clinics, enrolled patients have FREE access to services such as:

✅One-on-one consultations with Wellness Advisors, Health Coaches and Therapists who are experts in emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing
✅Psychiatrist, nurse practitioner and GP consultations to talk about mental health and medical reviews
✅Men's Group, to help man and their whānau learn tools to become role models, build confidence, self-esteem and leave uplifting influences
✅Aotearoa Mindfulness and Awareness course, helpful for everyone wanting to grow resilience, regulate emotions and experience inner peace
