The Ō𝘁ā𝗵𝘂𝗵𝘂 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 took place over the weekend, and it was beautiful to see our community come together to connect and engage with so many healthcare providers.

Our teams from 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 Ō𝘁ā𝗵𝘂𝗵𝘂 and the 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺, along with our Community Liaison Manager, Li'amanaia Lorenzo Kaisara, connected with patients to discuss 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀. They also offered free blood pressure checks, brought along our basketball hoop for some fun, and handed out spot prizes.

We truly appreciate the fantastic feedback and engagement from the community and all health providers involved.

What an amazing way to kick-off the Ōtara Samoan Methodist Church 7-week challenge as sponsors, bringing together so many people for health and wellbeing at our Health Day 💙

A huge thank you to the Church leaders for making it all possible, and a heartfelt shoutout to all the incredible health providers who joined us 🙌👏

We received fantastic feedback from attendees, who were grateful for the opportunity to check their blood pressure and kidney function, learn about cancer screenings, smoking cessation, gambling support, dental care, home fire safety, child safety, wellness resources, and so much more.

Spending Saturday morning with such an amazing team was an absolute blast – and we can’t wait to see what the next few weeks have in store 💫

We have some exciting news! 🎉🎉

Thanks to the church leaders at the Ōtara Samoan Methodist Church and our Total Healthcare PHO, our Local Doctors clinics are proud to be key sponsors of a 7-week health and wellbeing challenge 😃

The programme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of all participants, and is filled with fitness classes, weigh-ins and conversations around healthy eating and healthy weight management. We'd like to thank our Community Liaison Manager, Li'amanaia Lorenzo Kaisara, for making this possible, and we look forward to seeing the positive changes in all participants 🙌

To celebrate its launch, the church is hosting a Health Day at the Ōtara Samoan Methodist Church this Saturday, 26th October, from 9am to 12pm. This event is supported by several community and health providers, including our Local Doctors and Wellness Support Teams, who will be on hand to offer health and wellness education, along with blood pressure checks. There will also be spot prizes and exciting activities like basketball, Zumba, and so much more!

In a collaboration with our Total Healthcare PHO and the Ō𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵, we have organised a 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟵𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟮𝗽𝗺.

A huge thank you to our Local Doctors Ranui team for hosting the first of our two Women’s Health Check Days last Saturday 🩷

It was wonderful seeing so many wāhine receiving health checks and discussing breast cancer awareness with our nurses. It was also a great opportunity for kids who attended with their mums to catch up on overdue vaccines ✨

A massive shoutout to everyone who got involved in Mental Health Awareness Week 💙💫

Our teams really embraced the theme of connection, rocked their purple outfits, and came together in the best ways.

We had shared lunches, swapped compliments, recorded wellbeing messages for social media, and even made gratitude boards! Some of our amazing team members brought in cookies and samosas, while others hosted mindfulness meditations, silent discos, and potluck lunches.

Plus, many supported local businesses, strengthening our community connections 🙌

Let’s keep up the momentum and stay grateful for the connections that lift us up, not just this week, but every day 💙✨
