Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself I am Nakita Hopa who is 33 years old. Lived in Ruakaka for 10 years and now based in Whangarei. I was inspired to do massage therapy from my mother as she had alot of health conditions and always took alot of pills with negative side effects. Therefore, I wanted to help my mother In a natural way so I came across massage therapy in the Ruakaka Library where we lived. And decided then to take a massage course in 2012 at The Evolution School of Holistic Therapies in Whangarei and graduated with a Diploma in Holistic Massage. My mother was diagnosed with congested heart failure mid last year and I looked after her full time and very grateful I did. When she had to go into Hospice she asked me to massage her back pain and when I did she fell asleep and her pain disappeared from her face. I realised that I can do this and help others just like her. After my mother passed away in May this year, I wanted to pursue this career in massage therapy so a opportunity came about, to do a Ladies Day Event in Whangarei from my niece, to put my mobile massage therapy business out there and I received great feedback. It has given me more confidence to continue my journey to help people with massage therapy and make my mother proud.
