"Dont count the days, make the days count!"

Grace Hospice embraces life by focusing on quality of life, dignity and support during the final phases of a life limiting illness. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team by providing socialization and companionship, helping a patient record their life story, or providing the patient caregiver with some time for themselves. We are always in need of patient visitors that want to share conversation or quiet time with a patient, pet visitors that want to share their well-behaved pet with a patient. Also, Veteran to Veteran volunteers are trained hospice volunteers that have the unique ability to support other Veterans who are terminally ill. A complete volunteer orientation is provided for those that might be interested. Contact Hattie Kennedy, Volunteer Coordinator at Grace Hospice at 816-444-4611 or [email protected].
