Dr. Frank D’Ambrosio is one of the world’s leading campaigners for policy reform on the use of medical cannabis. A surgeon for over 30 years, he witnessed patient after patient suffering from chronic pain following surgery which often left them with a long-term dependency on prescription medicines. After deciding to look into alternative forms of pain relief, Dr. Frank became fascinated by the science behind medicinal cannabis and its proven success in treating a range of medical conditions – from everyday ailments to chronic diseases. Today, as well as being a renowned advocate, for the last six years he has dedicated his medical practice to helping patients throughout the United States incorporate medical cannabis into their daily health routines. The momentum around medical ma*****na is growing, and on 12th November 2018 Dr. Frank flew to Geneva to contribute research and analysis to the World Health Organisation’s Expert Committee on Drug Dependence, which will report back to the United Nations. Dr Frank gave evidence from his five-year research, 4,287 patient survey entitled: ‘Can Cannabis Be Used To Replace Addictive Pharmaceuticals?’

On the 18thJune 2018, Dr. Frank addressed the British Parliament meeting MPs and many of the patients who have been campaigning for change. Whilst medical ma*****na has now been legalized in the UK, the fight is not yet over. Dr. Frank stated:

“The barriers for getting treated are still very high. Hospital specialists have been briefed to administer medical cannabis as a measure of last resort and patients are fighting against ignorance on the part of doctors whilst being pummelled by the Big Pharma opioid lobbyists. It’s still very much an uphill struggle. There’s a long way to go before the UK follows the lead of the US and most recently Canada”.

Rebecca Has Severe Chronic Pain & Was On 27 Different Pills, Before Replacing Them All With Cannabis

Rebecca Sewell was only 10 years old when she experienced her first attack of chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS) after a “magic trick” involving handcuffs went horribly wrong. CRPS is one of the most painful conditions a person can go through, it ranksing alongside cluster headaches and trigeminal neuralgia on the McGill pain index, and is above even amputation and childbirth.

Her list of health problems consisted of CRPS, scoliosis, diabetes, interstitial cystitis, gastroparesis, chronic inertia due to myalgia, fibromyalgia, depression, PTSD, anxiety, hypothyroidism and insomnia. Rebecca was taking 27 different pharmaceutical pills a day in order to treat these conditions. Rebecca was also constantly using opioids, which caused her teeth to drop out! Now she only takes medical cannabis!

Once in schedule 2 why do you think it will ever be taken out again?

You think pharma will let such a resource slip through their grip once they have it?

Why should such a benign and nutritious herb be in any schedule or even the MODA at all?

Given the fact that cannabis has a regulatory effect upon human health and wellbeing maintaining homeostasis, especially when consumed as a nutritional item in its raw organic state, why should it be in any schedule at all.

Cannabis regulates human physiological systems.

Removing the regulator of multiple systems inevitably cause problems to manifest.

Return the regulator to the system and normal functioning resumes.

Anything that is a regulator of systems is essential for proper functioning.

Therefore, natural herbal cannabis can only logically be an essential nutrient for the maintenance of human health, wellbeing and happiness.

Essential nutrients should not be in any schedule, controlled by government or criminalised consumers.

Just my humble conclusion after 4 years extensive academic reading and enlightening discussions with more enlightened people than me.

Cannabis is nutritional not medicinal.

It only appears medicinal when reintroduced to the malfunctioning system and alleviates the nutritional deficiencies, which manifest as disease symptoms.
