May you have a fresh 2021 filled with hope and joy!

2020 has definitely been a challenging year, and yet we are still learning to be resilient and flexible. We were able to quickly switch over to Telehealth in March and serve our clients virtually and safely. We also implemented safety protocols when there are in-person contacts in the office. More importantly, we were able to expand our hours of service and work with individuals living in different cities. We are grateful to be able to serve our clients amid of pandemic, and we hope to continue expanding our work in the coming year. Our capacity is full at this time, but we will be accepting new clients in Jan 2021. Please feel free to contact us if you wish to be placed on the waiting list. We are here to help!

Take care and stay safe~

Sincerely, Dr. Hsieh and staff

There's something spreading faster than the coronavirus: Racism and microaggressions.

😢The coronavirus has been declared a pandemic - the widespread impact it is having is truly devastating. There has been a lot of attention of course on the physical health consequences, the societal impact, the economic impact... but very little on the impact it is having on mental health 💚

Unfortunately it looks like the situation is getting worse and will continue to (at least short-term) - this is why it’s so important to:
1) Acknowledge the role it will/ is having on your mental health (as illustrated in this post)
2) Prioritise your mental health ESPECIALLY during this period - the “outer world” is very uncertain / volatile at present which makes our “inner world” vulnerable. Please look after it!
💚Please share to raise awareness of the mental health impacts - there’s been so little coverage of them and it’s so important to raise awareness of this

At Well and Sound Center, we care about the health of all of our clients and staff. We are closely monitoring the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19). If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms (i.e., fever, cough, shortness of breath), we will gladly switch your appointment via telehealth.

Here are CDC Health and Safety Recommendations for you:

• Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

• Stay home when you are sick.

• Cover your mouth when you cough, and be sure to sneeze into a tissue. Be sure to throw your tissue into the trash and wash your hands immediately after.

• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a disinfectant household cleaning spray or wipes.

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

• If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.

Please contact us at 858-224-2255 (voice or text) or [email protected] should you have any questions.

An interesting article.
I believe setting up foundation before 5 helps children to have better structure, self control, and discipline. Children tend to be happier when given some boundaries...
