☀️ Staying Cool in the heat ☀️
For a lot of us, we're in the midst of another heat wave, so just remember to take care - especially for older adults, those with health conditions, and anyone more vulnerable in the heat.
💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🕶️ Keep curtains closed in sunny rooms to help them stay cool.
🍉 Opt for light, fresh meals and snacks.
🪑 Rest in the coolest part of your home during the hottest hours (11am–3pm).
🧃 Avoid caffeine and alcohol, which can make you more dehydrated.
A little preparation can make a big difference to comfort and safety. Please check in on neighbours, friends, or family who might need extra support. 💜
