β¨Belly birth is still sacredβ¨

At times we must lay prostrate and surrender to the what is. We must sacrifice our desires, our beliefs, and our expectations to bring our babies forth earth side. As someone who is deeply afraid of surgery, who doesnβt trust the medical industrial complex one bit, who desires to honor the physiological process of birth... I can only imagine what it takes to lay on the table prostrate, relinquishing so much just for someone elseβs life and well being...yβall about surrendering! β’

Many times birtheea who experience Cesarean birth are shamed, are made to feel like they failed, are shunned for choosing βthe easy way outβ. However, non of this is true. Do you see all the layers just to get to the baby? This surgery is equivalent in severity as an open heart surgery! β’

I want to give a virtual hug to all the birthers who were coerced into getting a csection, all the birthers who did not receive true informed consent, all the birthers who had to gather their bravery to do what they thought it was being told was best (even if it wasnβt true), all the birthers who are forever traumatized, all the birthers who experienced complications..including mental and emotional imbalances...I know that everyoneβs experience with cesarean birth is different but right now I would just like to hold space for those who wish they had someone there to support them navigate exercising their agency and autonomy. β’

Birth regret is real af and no one really talks about it. You canβt change how things transpired at your birth. Hell people have home birth, hospital births, everything goes as planned or not at all and each can feel birth regret. At any rate, remember you have the power to tell your story from that as a victim or victor. You are not alone. Thank you for your sacrifice and resilience. β’Repost from @sumistouch
I wanted to reach out say Hello & introduce myself...
*I've been on maternal leave for the pass year and now, I'm read to get back into the swing of birth-work.
Angel Kulczyk is a mother to four little ones: one beautiful hospital birth, two transformative, powerful home-births and one unassisted home-birth. Angel has been a Certified Birth Doula for the last six years, applying techniques learned from Birthing From Within. Co-founder of the Buffalo Doula Collective here in WNY, Angel is an encapsulating specialist and Rebozo certified.
One of Angel's goals is to empower & educate women that ALL BIRTHS matter. She is a believer in holding space & truth telling. Angel has over 10 years of valuable herbalist experience in womenβs health and really enjoys growing her own medicinal herbs on her fruitful urban farm, Wolfberry Farm, in the heart of Buffalo's West Side.
Another goal Angel has is to simplify, facilitate, and nurture your tiny seedling, each its own idea or dream and permits that dream the space to flourish and blossom into motherhood with as much or as little guidance and support as you need. The power of birth work keeps Angel grounded and it is her privilege to support women and their growing families during that process.
