Kind and immediate assistance is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Our primary focus is to provide superior care and assistance to the female client and their loved ones, in the most thoughtful, respectful, confidential and compassionate manner. We hold respect and dignity of the client with the highest regard.
Harmony Place supports women in recognizing and appreciating their addiction and any co-occurring dual diagnoses. Our program participants are taught to identify how addiction and other diagnoses manifest and which personal interventions are available to them to support lasting recovery. The women are guided through examination and developmental processes, fostering their ability to create their own personal plans for action to produce the desired changes in their lives. At Harmony Place, we utilize the “residential treatment milieu” as a therapeutic tool to examine the complex interplay of human experiences of individuals in a non-threatening and supportive environment. Our safe, non-judgmental setting is designed to safely expose individuals to emotional situations that could not otherwise be tolerated. The desired corrective emotional experience provides the emotional component, which, coupled with reality testing and intellectual insight, cultivates the repair of traumatic influences and aberrant behaviors. Behavior patterns and interpersonal relationships are observed, assessed and modified through group and individual therapy as well as through our “healthy house” model. Support is offered when individuals express deep, sometimes traumatic feelings and problems related to their life experience. Group facilitators and individual therapists identify maladaptive behavioral patterns, including substance abuse or dependency. Group engagement and honest, objective feedback from the group members and facilitators permit effective reality testing. The group experience provides an opportunity for interpretation and exploration of possible alternatives. The residential treatment milieu extends observation of the interpersonal interactions into all daily activities. Over the course of treatment, program staff and resident peers continually nurture personal insight and the corrective emotional experiences. Individuals share the effects of their inner world with their treatment peers, as understanding and acceptance by others increases their public and self-esteem. These threads of healthy living begin to be tailored into a comfortable cloak of sobriety
