Services (DBHIDS)

SHaRP delivers a secular program full of rich material utilizing the model of the Stetson School in conjunction with, Thinking Matters – Abe French that produces a people with positive self-image and esteem. Motivational Interviewing is a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence. According to studies – MI compared with non-directive counseling, it is more focused and goal-directed. SHaRP has been utilizing the concepts of this model to deliver services to our participants.

This legislation provides licensing boards greater leeway when considering whether to grant formally incarcerated and convicted individuals licenses to practice their trade. Simply put...your crimnal record alone won’t deny you from getting a license in a particular field. This is how you reduce recidivism, improve our economy, and give people the second chance they deserve! Now onto the Senate to make this bill a law...

If the states are taking action by not allowing private prisons in their areas, we must take action and bank with banks who don’t finance private prisons.
