A large number of Indiana therapists joined a town hall today with Anthem/Carelon to dispute a new contract we have been handed. Basically, we are being forced to accept insulting reimbursement rates (almost a 50% cut), or get off the network. A colleague who was in the meeting had this to say to the Anthem representatives:

In my counseling sessions this week, the theme of grief kept coming up over and over again. Grieving our “normal”, grieving the losses that have come with COVID, grieving the changes with schooling, grieving physical touch, relationships, and gatherings. Whatever you may be grieving in this season, know that it’s valid. Grief is not a punishment, but rather a reward. If you’re grieving, it’s because you were living!
