We should all strive to create safer spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring LGBTQIA+ individuals can authentically exist without fear of persecution, ill-treatment, or judgment. ⁠

Boundaries. We hear the word everywhere: in therapy, at school, on TikTok, but what does it mean? Setting boundaries is an act of self-care. Boundaries let others know (whether it be coworkers, parents, or friends) how you would like to be treated.

If you’re struggling to set boundaries, we created a three-step template for you to follow. We challenge you to find time to sit down and set one boundary this week. Perhaps you value your space, honestly, or will be turning off class notifications Friday evening through Sunday. This template allows you to state your values and understand what is needed.

Remember, setting boundaries is an empowering act that nurtures self-respect and fosters healthier relationships. Take the first step this week and see its positive impact on your well-being.
