Acorn Health is pleased to announce the addition of two new Acorn Health ABA therapy centers in Florida.

Our new locations in St. Johns and Lake Mary, FL, currently offer home-based ABA therapy and and will soon provide center-based services to children with an autism diagnosis.

We serve clients from 18 months through 21 years of age and offer both focused and comprehensive programs. Most major insurances are accepted.

No amount of gratitude is enough to thank our military heroes. From all of us here at Acorn Health, we wish a Happy Veterans Day to all who have served and those who continue to serve.

Hurricane Nicole is forecasted to make landfall early Thursday morning near West Palm Beach and Port St. Lucie, and we continue tracking the storm path as it approaches our Florida centers. At this time all Acorn Health centers will remain open and will provide ABA services, including Altamonte Springs, East Orlando, Lakeland, Miramar, and Winter Garden. We take the safety of our kids, families, and staff very seriously and want all to remain safe as this storm passes. Please be careful if you’re in these areas and know that we will provide updates with further information as this develops.

⏰ Our clocks have fallen back one hour! ⏰ We know that changes in routine can have a big impact for children with autism. Here are some things you can do to make the daylight saving time transition easier:

✨ Temporarily move up your child's bedtime to the new adjusted time. For example, if your child's bedtime was 9 PM before, move it to 8 PM.
✨ Push bedtime back in small increments every few nights until you reach the desired bedtime. (10-15 minute increments)
✨ Keep a consistent routine by waking up at the same time and following the same bedtime routine each night.
✨ Keep daytime bright and bedtime dark when possible.
