This is me, years ago, travelling on a train from London to Edinburgh, journaling my heart out. Even though we were backpacking and only brought the essentials, I knew my journal was non- negotiable on this amazing trip.
Documenting thoughts and emotions is one way that I use my journaling practice...because although we have hundreds of photos from this trip to remember the things we did and the sights we saw, I knew to fully process and remember this experience, I needed to create room for focusing on how I felt at the time, what I was thinking about, important conversations we had, etc. We can experience things like travel, major life events, or even the day-to-day more fully by taking a little time for self reflection.
