Body Bootcamp By Chris Body Bootcamp -Over 20 yrs. experience; personal, motivating & fun fitness coaching,

After teaching for 16+ years many forms of exercise classes, there are patterns I see that work for typically everyone and that is what I use to design my classes. Bootcamp is about working hard, letting go of what you 'thought' you were capable of and overcoming fears, by doing challenging workouts- but also safely. Tai Chi, Pilates, Yoga Bootcamp is about working hard but by using the natural me

chanics of the body and breathing to create a calmness that helps the body 'flow' into moves that stretch and strengthen the entire body, while using the core non-stop! To end the class, participants are guided through proven relaxation methods that are known to lower stress-levels, blood pressure, depression, and anxiety, creating more energy throughout life.

Sundays are great days to make healthy meals for your work and plan your schedule to include exercise and self-care.

Note to self.

What if when you were upset, you received a hug instead of “Don’t be so emotional?”

What if instead of getting (unsolicited) advice from a friend or relative, you got a hug and a spoken or unspoken message that “I’m here for you.” We are social animals; we need connection, and we need touch. We are wired that way.

Challenge yourself to notice someone who needs a hug (including yourself), and give them one today. There are many ways to connect, and this is one of the most important ones of all.

With over 75% of autoimmune diseases presenting in women, we have to look at the role a life time of suppressing and pleasing does to our bodies.

From a young age many women are taught to seen and not heard. To keep secrets. To produce and achieve. To carry shame that was never their own. And most of the time they’re taught to do it alone— without any adults to help them through the issue. To validate it. Or to say: “that wasn’t ok.”

Add this to the cultural push to forgive (which often creates even deeper repression) the good girl has no outlet for her anger. Instead she smiles, says it’s ok when it isn’t, and stays quiet. Going through life in survival mode, her body remembers. And one day she presents with an autoimmune disease, a functional freeze state, or a mystery illness.

Often, she’s told it’s just in her head. That her test results came back normal. That she probably “just has anxiety or depression”— but her body remembers.

And it’s loudly speaking: NO. And enough
