Dr. Chris Baker is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He graduated among the top of his class; then went on to practice dentistry for the United States Air Force. He completed a one-year advanced education course in general dentistry during his first year as an Air Force dentist. During this time, Dr. Baker worked with board-certified specialists in all aspects of dentistry,
expanding his training and honing his skills. He was then handpicked to work at the first Tri-Service Dental Clinic for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon in Washington. There, he was entrusted to practice dentistry on Pentagon military members, White House staff, Capitol Hill employees, and even foreign military. Since graduating in 2000, Dr. Baker has completed over 800 hours of continuing education, far exceeding the state requirement of 200 hours. He also maintains membership in many professional organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Dayton Dental Society, and the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation. Following service in the Air Force, Dr. Baker returned home with his wife to raise a family in the Dayton area. He has been married for more than 11 years, and has two young children. Recognizing the seriousness of sleep deprivation on the health of his patients, and the benefits of dental treatment in this area, Dr. Baker underwent additional training in sleep dentistry. He now offers alternatives to surgery and CPAP for patients who suffer snoring and sleep apnea.
