I am excited to announce the launch of a new program called Skate Strong
which I have designed to help promote movement and activity.Movement is
an essential part of life and maintaining strength and mobility is crucial as we
age. Most people don’t like working out because they find it dreadful. But what
if it could be fun?

After more than 12 years off the rink, I recently returned to roller skating. This
is an activity I have enjoyed throughout my life. I must admit, it was a humbling
experience. My skills were rusty at best but I was determined to not give up. I
continue to improve and it has been so much fun!

I want to invite others to join me, even if you have never roller skated. I promise
you are not too old to learn. Roller skating is great for both physical and mental
well-being.

Roller skating:

-works leg muscles
-Improves hip mobility
-Strengthens ankles
-Strengthens core
-Improves balance
-Works the arms
-Improves cardiovascular health
-Promotes healthy lung function
-Improves mental health (FUN!!!)

So what’s the program? Come skate, with me or by yourself. When you skate, have someone take a picture of you wearing your skates and send me one picture from every skate session you attend. Each picture earns you one entry into a monthly drawing for a free 60 min massage. Triple entries if you get a photo with me or send me a video of you skating. Program begins May 1, 2025.
