22/09/2023

Prostate Cancer is the most common non-skin cancer diagnosed in men and the second leading cause of cancer deaths, following lung cancer. Over their lifetime, 1 in 6 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, yet, only 36 % of prostate cancers are detected at the earliest stage, when treatment can be most effective.

This September marks Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) has chosen the theme, 'Together for the long run', for this year's campaign.

At Active Rehab, we’re uniquely positioned to address the physiotherapy requirements of men throughout their entire prostate cancer journey. With over a decade of experience, we've been providing specialised Men's Health physiotherapy services, with a particular focus on men with prostate cancer, both in hospital and in our outpatient clinics.

We offer best practice exercise prescription, fatigue management, pain management & help our patients to manage the consequences of surgery, including urinary incontinence & sexual dysfunction.
