We're grateful to Lookout Ridge Retirement Home, Anchor Pointe Retirement, and Woodlands of Sunset for allowing us to share flowers with the remarkable women residing there, honoring their contributions as mothers and caregivers.

Each woman who received a flower was deeply moved, feeling valued and appreciated. We're thankful for our dedicated associates, clients, and volunteers, whose kindness and compassion are a powerful catalyst for positive change.

Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am a dedicated personal support worker with three years of experience in the field. My journey began during high school when I participated in a co-op program as a personal support worker, which ignited my passion for this rewarding profession. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges.

Inspired by my grandmother, who was a registered nurse and positively impacted many lives before her passing, I strive to carry on her legacy by making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve. At 24 years old and engaged, I share my home with two beloved cats. In my leisure time, I enjoy watching movies and TV shows, cooking, collecting books, creating art, and attending comic conventions with friends. Family plays an integral role in my life; I cherish spending quality time with my two younger siblings.

I am excited about the opportunity to be part of the Take 5 Respite Services team and contribute to our shared mission of enhancing the well-being of others through compassionate care.❤️❤️❤️

Hello. My name is Vanessa and I am very excited to start this new adventure with Take 5 Respite Services. I have been a Personal Support Worker for 15 years. My experience in this field includes working in long term care and home care facilities. I have also worked with individuals with physical challenges and special needs groups. I take pride in providing my clients with high quality care and respect. I always have a very positive attitude as well. I have 2 daughters and have been happily married for 16 years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love to hike and watch hockey. My greatest joy is being able to spend quality time with my family and friends.

I am delighted to share a special holiday surprise for a deserving family. As Christmas approaches, what better way to show our appreciation?

This Sunday at 8:00pm, I will draw the lucky winner(s). This year's winner(s) will enjoy a magical holiday experience, complete with a 1-night stay overlooking the falls at the Hilton in Niagara Falls on Friday December 20th, plus vouchers for dinner and breakfast.

We appreciate the incredible families we have gotten to know and the privilege of working with them. Your kindness, generosity, and love inspire us constantly, and we are thankful for the opportunity to express our gratitude. We have built such incredible relationships with you and your loved ones and we look forward making many more memories. We've been caught! At Take 5 Respite Services, we undoubtedly have an exceptional time with our clients, engaging in numerous exciting activities such as helicopter tours over Niagara, jet boating, attending concerts and shows, go-karting, golfing, horseback riding, and ziplining, among others.
Beyond these recreational pursuits, we also focus on essential life and coaching skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, effective communication, decision-making, creative thinking, interpersonal skills, self-awareness, empathy, and stress management techniques.
Recently, we've been dedicated to helping Tyler secure employment, aiming to enhance his sense of purpose, identity, self-esteem, and social connections. We're thrilled to announce that Tyler commenced his new role on Friday, diligently ensuring the showroom's Bbqs and fireplaces were immaculate. His outstanding performance is truly commendable. We extend our sincere gratitude to Barbecue and Fireplace Centre for turning Tyler's employment dream into reality and we look forward to sharing his journey with you.

Hello! My name is Lorraine and I'm excited to be a part of the Take 5 team!

My professional background is as a personal support worker. A profession that has been quite varied in its disciplines over the years. From special needs, pediatrics, the elderly and palliative care, I have found my passion in it all.

My personal experiences take me back to being involved with special needs since I was in elementary school, where I was given the opportunity at a young age, to be trained in conflict management. I have taken ongoing training and courses through the years to further my knowledge, understanding and ability to be a diverse caregiver in supportive roles.
My experience has taken me into the community, medical facilities and into group homes throughout Niagara.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your family 🙂

Today we ran our first take 5 day camp which was a grand success! We appreciate each one who joined us for the Toronto Blue Jays game, where we witnessed a thrilling victory over the Detroit Tigers!!

It was such a joy to see everyone smile, dance, and enjoy the day to the fullest.
We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to do what we love each and every day at Take 5 Respite Services. We appreciate the continuous support of our fantastic families and can’t thank you enough for allowing us to provide support to your loved ones!
