A huge thanks to Donna Ellsworth who has worn many hats with our company over the year. She truly keeps us running everyday and has always offered her assistance whenever someone has had a question or needed a helping hand.

Often she is the first impression of our team in the community and we could not have a better Admissions Coordinator.

We are so glad that we have you on our team!

Our bereavement program is extremely blessed to have Dr. Steve Fehl. He has such a rich history of providing counseling and care and is running excellent Grief Support Groups in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs.

Legacy Hospice is pleased to announce that we are now an affiliate of New Century Hospice!

New Century Hospice was originally formed in September 2010 and was borne from a combination of leading local hospice providers dedicated to the provision of outstanding quality of care and customer service. As of March 1, 2015, Legacy Hospice joined the other 14 locations of New Century Hospice with a common mission of serving others and being dedicated to completing life’s journey by Embracing Life. This new affiliation offers our organization the opportunity to enhance the resources available to our patients, families, and employees.

What kind of change can you expect?

Simply, just a new name to New Century Hospice. Although we will be retiring the Legacy Hospice name in the near future, we are the same caring people you have become acquainted with, remain at the same location, and you can continue to contact us at (303) 660-6107.

We see this new partnership as a positive change. With our collective hospice experience and focus on providing the highest quality of care, Legacy Hospice will remain completely dedicated to serving our patient’s needs.

Our staff has noticed how the caregiver Ty at Kettles Assisted Living in Colorado Springs is very attentive and cared for our patient in a way that was truly genuine. For a beloved patient Ty kissed the deceased on the forehead after she had offered to sit with her in her last hours if needed. Ty possesses a sincere love and care that she provides to those in her care.

Thanks to the wonderful staff at Brookside Inn who take good care of our patients. Your hard work, love, and dedication is noticed whenever we provide care in your facility.

We'd like to recognize an outstanding physician, Dr. Jotte at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center at Skyridge. Whenever we have shared patients they say what an amazing and compassionate physician he is; they sing his praises every time his name comes up during our visits. We especially appreciate their words about his humanity and honesty when their only alternative became hospice. These patients have all gained comfort, quality of life and very probably time, by being home with loved ones, working on their last goals and processing the conclusion of their lives instead of pursuing endless, non-beneficial treatment. He has given them this incredible gift that I get to witness as their hospice nurse. Thanks for all you do Dr. Jotte!
